| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Welp, I got what I expected out of this. I'm ok with the OP song. Right off the bat, we meet the school setting with prestigious students. There's a elegant atmosphere with the high class uniforms and environment. Romio stands out because he is somewhat of a hothead. Also, there's Juliet and Hasuki introduced. Pretty much an introductory episode in general in terms of the storytelling. I think they tried to make all the guys look very gentleman-like with the exception of Romio lol |

| Big fan of the manga here. Generally happy about the adaptation; quality looks good. I think this anime can't go wrong as long as they keep this quality. I hope LIDENFILMS don't attempt anything like what they did to Hanebado (tho I don't think this series can be changed into any other genre) |

| So the boarding school has students from two different countries that see each other as rivals huh quite the premise. Inuzuka's feelings towards Juliet sure are complex. Juliet's way of dealing with that kid was quite interesting. Instead of causing hatred she motivated him instead. That ambush sure was a dangerous thing though. The dual confession in the end was quite entertaining and funny to watch. But the result was quite surprising. A strong first episode that did a great job of mixing action and comedy while also introducing the lead characters and the setting. |

| Not gonna lie, it's cliché but i was really into it with the sword battle, the MC's and their secret meetings will hard carry this series. Very cute, those two. |

| seems like a more romcom genre anime instead of fighting although it got some fight scenes, well originally I am hyped about it and it did somehow meet my expectation. nice one |

| It was decent. I didn't feel like it was anything that great, but to be honest today came out a ton of amazing anime, so it is pretty average in comparison. I'll check the second episode out, sure |

| Romeo and Juliet but in a school setting. Nothing too special but it was pretty entertaining. I'll admit it's refreshing to see the love confession come so early compared to other shows where it takes the whole series for that to happen. |

Oh. I thought it was another yuri anime  I love when you have a male MC but the stupid cover only show you the girls  "Look all those chicks here just for you, you manly men!"  #shounen |
| Looks good so far, really liked the sword fight at the end. This seems to be quite the funny anime so far. Really liking the girls as well, Komaii seems like an interesting girl, really hoping to see more of her. Just hoping it won't be a love triangle between her, Persia and Inuzuka... time will tell! Edit: that Hiro Mashima end card though, did not expect that. |

| Liked the first episode better of what I thought I would. The main characters look cute together, they confessed in the first episode, and the rivalry between the two dorms makes the setting more interesting than your average romcom. I'm not gonna jump on conclusions, but this has potential to be entertaining at least. |

| This anime looks like it's just a fun rom-com to watch about 2 people who are loving each other, but they have to keep it a secret just because of the rivalry between Black Dogs and White Cats. Hey, at least we have an official couple in the first episode. |

| Quality adaptation as of episode 1. I love this manga, you'll think that it's cliche and it probably is but I'm sure that during its run people will start to like it. It's one of those mangas that are not exceptional or groundbreaking but at the same time does absolutely nothing wrong. It'll be a cute romance with a great, and I mean great cast of characters. If that's your thing don't drop! Overall very happy with the first episode |

A few of you here seem to have missed the point a bit if you're expecting a serious romance story. People aren't saying it's cliche because it's Romeo and Juliet or because it's a rom-com - they're saying it because this is such a tired and dull way of interpreting the story. Everything about this first episode felt like it came out of something from the early 2000s, not least of all because it decided to revisit the eternally outdated plot point of a girl falling for a guy because he saved her from sexual assault. A lot of the scenes were hideously tone deaf, the character designs are appalling (like, why did all the guys age past 12 and none of the girls did? Biggest anime pet peeve frankly. Inuzuka's design is also super boring), and almost all its setting choices have already been done by other retellings. This show feels a lot like someone saw some early 2000s shoujo comedies and West Side Story and decided to create a baby that no-one wants anymore. This sort of anime should've been left behind in the noughties. |

| I thought this was another really good first episode of the season! I was already laughing at Inuzuka's love for Persia~ Though I have see to more of their secret relationship for me to properly talk about it. That confession was really funny though! XD |
 Help, I'm hooked into the Fate series (not all) and am obsessed with Shirou x Saber! Also, forever hoping for a ufotable remake of the Fate route! |

The anime adaptation however...its passable for now, nothing really stands out other than the Romeo X Juliet relationship. Hopefully this series follows closer to its manga source counterpart and I'll be happy at best. But then again, which series do you actually see the ship couple right at the beginning? Liked it and hopefully it will be fine from here on. |

| Wow! That first episode supered my expectations! I loved it so hard! Finally a comedy/romance anime that dont abuse from cliche so hard! I laughed in a lot of parts! This is exatly the kind of anime that i enjoy! I am glad to meet Persia, her personality looked really strong, she is really cute and pretty! And Inuzuka, the way he is indecise it is really funny to watch! But he looks to be a nice guy, i liked him! Hasuki is really cute too, and she looks that she cares about her leader, she wanted to confort him! This sword battle was really good moment, he used it to confess to her, with a little of comedy, it was a really beautiful moment, and Persia blush was too sweet! Last moment of episode was funny too! I will follow this for sure! |

| I generally like these typical shounen romcoms with a twist but I've had trouble getting into this one. Several attempts to read the manga in the past have ended up dropping it within a few chapters on all occasions. The ending bit with the two of them fighting was nice but everything before that felt like a chore to watch. |
| tad cliche gave a big eye roll once i saw the names they were using but i had a lot of fun (besides the shitty stuff those black doggies did) how you gonna give them good VAs like sugita :/ anyways cutest swordfight confession in one episode so 1+ for that Black doggy got the girls but white cats are cats and has Persia hard to pick |

| before starting the manga i really have high expectations from it but then it really disappointed me and the same goes for this episode gotta watch next ep to decide whether to drop or continue it because drama......... |
| the confession/acceptance scene at the fountain was surprisingly adorable.... hopefully this doesnt end up being a mess like the actual romeo and juliet |

Do all or most of the main females highlighted in the opening have feelings for the mc and does this series develop male characters besides the mc? I try to avoid romances with harem elements so I would appreciate some insight into this series before I decide to dive into it Only three, including Juliet as of now. One other is Hasuki who also appeared in the first episode (it is quite obvious that she has feelings for the MC). "Three" can be classified as a harem but due to the fact that the MC is already going out with Juliet, it does not really feel that much Harem-ish. Other than that, it is a standard romcom with minor action elements and various character interactions. |

| Imma super huge fan of it's manga, and the 1st ep has met my expectations. Although i noticed Percia's art style (the lower facial region) differs from that of manga , welp not that it matters (manga peru-chan was kawaii desu! ) <3 Looking forward to the next ep. |
