| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Grisha backstory continues, and it is a painful journey for him, luckily we went back to the present for a short time and got to see Eren reaction to all this, and Mikasa and Eren is in a cell. The "owl" is a badass! Knew it would've been that guy that was in the last chapter when Grisha was a child. Now patiently waiting for translation. |

| Ok, finally read the translation. So only Eldians can become titans? Hm... I wonder if this is true or just more bullshit from the Mare government? Even though Klaus is a scumbag what he says about Elodians does makes sense, this is just one big cycle of both sides are doing bad things to one another, none of these sides is in the right here when you look at the big picture. I just love how grey and realistic the snk world is to our world. Also it seems the Marley's has other enemies from the East other than the Elodians. The plot is just getting thicker and thicker, too bad not everyone can see how great and complex this series is. Overall, 5/5. Not much info dump this chapter but interesting nonetheless! I can't be the only one that laugh at this scene. Smile for the camera. ;) lol  |

| Another good chapter that cleared up many things while raising other questions. Just like Connie's mother, Dina had the speck of conscience to find her long lost husband... A tragic romance ended with Eren executing vengeance using the progenitor's power. Damn that's sad. Wonder why the Owl had been in hiding up until that certain point. And dang it there's no clarity towards whose side is spouting lies and whose side is holding the truth. I wonder where Eren and co. is right now. Back inside Maria? |
| So now we know where Eren's titan form came from. also I think that the enemies that soldier mentioned are the Ackermans and the other bloodline for obvious reasons. But the question is will they side with the Eldians or stay out of the whole thing ? of course thats if they still exist. other than Mikasa's hair , nice chapter. |

| So Grisha's first wife (Dina) was indeed the smiling titan who ate his second wife (Carla). Freaky. She definitely must've known, as she didn't eat her right away, but killed her with her bare hands prior to eating her. The Owl looks badass. I wonder why he decided to pass his Titan power onto Grisha. Guess we'll find out next chapter. |

| Brutal torture for Grisha. Also all those theories about Dina being the Smiling Titan and the restorationists being some of the titans back during the Battle of Trost arc was true. It also looks like they can choose which height of titan to turn someone into and only Eldians can become titans. God that was satisfying seeing the "owl" push Klaus off and get chewed on by the titan, the owl's titan form resembles the Rogue Titan. Good chapter. |

I wonder about this whole race issue...If the Mare needs to keep power at their favour, indeed that means there should be other races/nations etc except the guys at Paradi Island. According to the grandpa of Kenny, the Ackermans and the Asians/Orientals (both warrior bloodlines) were against the First King's policy. If (lets say it is true that) only Elodians can be titans, then it would make sense that some non-Elodians got special abilities in order to survive and fight against them in the past. Why were the Asians with the Elodians? It is the whole race or just some of them on Paradi? I am curious how Paradi plans to fight against the technically more developed Mare without the Coordinator's power. Anyways, I am too confused to think now deeply. :D |

| Whoa...the smiling Titan was Dina?...damn. Mikasa's hair bothered me somewhat, I'll probably forget it soon. The torture of Grisha was pretty brutal, felt bad for him. In the meantime, that Owl is pretty damn cool. |

| I really hope that the statement about only Eldians becoming Titans is a Marley's made-up lie. I want to think that no matter the nation or whatever , all humans biologically should be the same.. But also then one thing states that some nations can differ from others , Like Asians or Ackermans ( or either both , don't really recall ) couldn't have their memories about humanity altered. Another point is that Marley was recruiting only Eldian kids as soldiers..:/ And come on , I also hope that story about Devil of the Earth is also a myth , in which people of current generation perhaps believe. Other thing , really would like to know how they ended up in that cell ? Last time we saw them was in the basement and there was no Armin , and Hange with Levi were. Expected the action to pick up right from there. - Having a thought that maybe it was a flashback from some point in the past when Eren was receiving these memories. Then I'm questioning , whom Zeke could have eaten to become a shifter himself ? |

| What a Backstory.....HELL!!! THIS IS SAD...But Freaking Awesome at the Same TIME! XD Grisha is blaming himself huh...no Surprise....he is at least Partly Guilty to what Zeke did. .... and there they are...those Titans from the Wall Maria's breaking AND Trainee Squad 105th first battle...one of them is the one that Eat Thomas, and another is the one that Eat Eren's leg if I am not Mistaken. Hell Bearded Bald one is the one that Eat Eren and was crushed from inside. ....aw shit...that Female Titan that Eat Eren's Mother and Hannes was Grisha's Former Wife...Was that the Reason she ate Eren's Mom? Jealousy? You...HAVE NO IDEA...How Happy and Elated I was when I saw that Officer bushed down by his own Man....that Was Most Glorious Sight to see ASshole to ripped Pieces! WTF!? O_O |

| Not a bad chapter, so there's a fourth wall keeping the titans out of the ocean. The humanity we knew all the time are like food in a box inside a cagefull of titans. Will we get to see how Grisha reached the walls and why Mikasa's bloodline is that important with this flashback? Unionoob said: Lefty112 said: The Owl looks badass. And that could explain why Titans haven't crossed sea and are stuck on that island. You can see how he jumps in Water to crush ship. So I suppose that's the only way to pass Owl's knowledge to someone else. I'm pretty sure that the wall just in front of the harbor has something to see with titans not crossing the ocean. That said I think that he will just sacrifice himself, he has found a good heir for his ideals and since the rest of the army might try to stop him, he has to kill them. |

| Well that was a surprise. I didn't know Grisha's past would be dark (thanks to Zeke) And that Owl guy. Darn it, he was there all along. The thing is, while I was reading the scene where Grisha's fingers were being cut off, I wondered if Isayama drew him having complete fingers in the first chapters lol Oh and wait, why r they in the chambers? What the hell happened? And is that girl really Mikasa? Dafuq? |

| Great chapter. And a perfect way to end it too with Owl showing up and owning these fools at the end, awesome panel to end on. That is definitely Eren's titan. Yeah Keragamming has a great point, I thought it was interesting that Klaus made the point that the Eldians were the ones massacring/mistreating the Marleans first, and probably would do the same/something similar if they managed to overthrow and defeat the current Marlean government. I really wonder how much more of this flashback we will get. And I wonder when this flashback ties up, will we get to see where Grisha has been this entire time? Would be interesting to see an interaction with him, Eren, and Zeke. |

| I don't understand something. In a previous chapter it was stated in the fled-to-the-island-king's letter that if Mare should attack the island an overwhelming amount of titans will stampede over earth. Why do they just increase the potential danger of this by turning Elodians into titans and dumping them on the island instead of just torturing or killing them? |
