I agree, also Jesus said prior to this, in verse 21 that a time was coming when the woman would worship the Father "neither on this mountain or in Jerusalem."
Gathering with fellow saints is important; to worship and lend support to each other but it doesn't have to be traditional, corporate worship of buildings, traditions and rote. There's other ways for those looking for something different, more personal, just have get out of the box.

Spirit and in Truth means worship In the Holy Spirit and the Truth is the word of God ( Jesus).

I was in agreement with you until you said, "this is what ultimately leads to salvation, through the grace and of our [L]ord."
We can't give of His Spirit if we don't have His Spirit in us as that is the big part of what salvation is. What God does in us to make us "born again" or "born from above" is found in Ezekiel 36:25-27. Cleanses us by the Holy Spirit through the washing of the word (John 15:3); gives us a new heart (that is declared pure [Matt 5:8] and no longer has the characteristics described in Jer 17:9) and a new spirit; and places His Spirit into our hearts to write His law upon the new heart and to cause us to walk in His ways because of the empowering and fruit of the Spirit (character of God He brings into us and is wanting to grow in us John 15:1-8 and Gal 5:22-23).

The way I read what you wrote, you say all the first things in your post and then your final sentence say it "leads to salvation". It is BECAUSE of the establishment of salvation by God (which includes the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) that the first part of your post is available. Perhaps I am just not getting what you're saying. I was sure to slowly and repeatedly read what you wrote before I posted to make sure I was understanding what you're saying. You speak of returning what is His and of His Spirit but if salvation isn't already in place, then there is no Holy Spirit to return back to Him in worship.

You are correct about doing nothing. It's referring to the 'other worship' or false worship not in our 💕 hearts.
The Work we do (what you called "not really doing anything") comes FROM Having the Spirit in us. We worship God because our hearts are so full of joy that it spills over to others. Pastor was simply describing what worship to God involves (heart❤). Remember that FAITH is an ACTION. Never a Feeling.
Walking with God is Worship. Thanking Him from your heart. Praying for others from your heart. Reading His Words to us is Worship when we Truly Seek Him. Praying alone with Him from your heart. And singing or speaking His Word back to Him. ( that's powerful for me because "I" hear it and Knowing His His Perfect Will is PURE TRUTH... I "hear" His Promises. I simply Live a better Life. So therefore I Worship Him. God will never NEED to be Worshipped. Worshipping HIM keeps us FOCUSED on Him and because we are Created to Worship.. we WILL ALWAYS find something to worship (idols). That leads to sin and more sin and we can become Under sin. He's trying to help our flesh die from desires and Live more and more in The Spirit.
