Just posted my first ad for a singer, and I've gotten 10 applicants in the last week. Maybe it's just a timing thing but that's way more interest than I've gotten in any previous playthrough.

Edit: to elaborate on my timing comment, I just started month 5 and a bunch of new "strangers" appeared, so maybe there are just more candidates than usual.

Yeah the age was the problem, alcohol restriction was 21, the sister was 18, I changed it with notepad to see and it worked.

I'm running the game in dev mode and also changed the keybinding for opening console but I still can't, anyone knows why?

The game option has a bug that turns off the debug console.

When after turning it on, you make changes to the options menu, it then saves the new options with debug console back to off.

But I haven’t change the default button for the console, so it might not be only this.

Bit of an odd one, I had the law "Open All Days Mid-day" pass but I wasn't able to open on Sunday until after the law "Open Evenings - All Days" passed.

The option to turn it on or off isn't even showing up for me anymore, even after restarting the game lol. Might be bugged atm.

I'm in the same confusing boat as you.... and not even sure what the Girl Name packs are about.... I think the recent one replaces scw1 and adds pregnant images.

Order of image packs does not matter. The named packs are TotalFluke's official packs, numbers 1 (Amber) through 8 (Hannah). Several of them have been revised, and you only need the latest version. These have a HOWTO file in each pack that says where to install them. I recommend installing all of these.

Beyond that are contributed image packs. Most of those are in the Megapack linked in the first post. These have been contributed by other players; some are AI generated and many are "real porn". They get installed in the same place, but need some minor configuration to enable. There are instructions in the Megapack and in most individual packs if you download them separately.

There is no installation order.

Which ones? It's entirely up to you. Your personal preference, you like the girls/boys in the pack or not.

Still, it's advisable to install at least 2-3 official packs, but you can install all of them. The more packs you install, the less chance to see an image you really like, but the less chance to get defeault (masked) images, 'cos the game won't run out of a special niche (like older asians).

And if you like those girls, you can install unofficial ones, too. Nowdays, you only need to fiddle with the in-game settings for them.

The girls names of the official packs just the letters of the ABC. Amber, Bethany.... Gloria, Hanna. It is just the order they were made. Back a year, when the game came out, there were only 2 or 3 packs, and time to time TotalFluke have publiched a new pack.

And there are versions, v2, v3. They are revisions of the same pack, fixing bad images and poses, changing looks, adding new images for the same girls.

From every girl pack (like Amber) you sould only install one version, like the new Amber v3. Or if you have an older version, you can overwrite it with a newer one. Some girls stays the same, some just get pregnant images, some get a new look. (If you knew what you do, you can overwrite them girl by girl, keeping the old look or getting the new, as you like them. For me, some of the new looks are too cartoonish.)

Timing is a big part of it. Strangers tend to appear towards the end of the month. Each month the game adds 2 new characters + one for each open job in all clubs. When the allow singers law passes, that adds 5 new jobs, so that means that it needs to add 5 more jobs before the end of the month. If it happens early in the month, it spreads them out over the entire month. If it happens late in the month, it tends to create them more closely together.

As someone else figured out, I added a check to make sure you couldn't offer a salary below $12 but only put that on the lowest amount cause I'm an idiot.

It's likely a non-US keyboard issue. Others have raised this issue but I haven't been able to reproduce it. Unfortunately I'm not well versed on how to make this stuff work well in such systems. Try using a standard letter or number key instead of a symbol.

I think this is a case of it being set to off in the old user_config.dat file which is no longer really used. Edit that file and remove it from there so the value you set in the in-game option takes precedence.

That's correct behavior. The labels are confusing to prevent them from getting too long. But the Open Evenings - All Days really means Open Sundays. And the Open All Days Mid-Day just means it's open during noon. But it needs the Open Sunday one to be open on Sunday afternoon. Its usually not a problem cause the Open Evenings - All Days usually triggers before the noon one.

Not remakes, but here are a couple from a later image pack that look a bit cartoonish to me: scw-00503-z0-biz.png scw-00527-z0-bc.png

For the first one, it's the big eyes that give that effect. The second is mainly the lighting, I think. I can't find an example at the moment but I think some of these later ones have slightly oversized heads as well. It's pretty subtle.

new update installed and when I try to hire an employee I get to the end and select the wage amount and nothing happens. Anybody know why?

When I opened up the debug menu I see invalid dialog replacement code '2oN' (3 args given)

Tried to, still couldn't get it to work. I'll see if I can change keyboard in my end, but could I suggest another way to open it like somewhere to click in future updates? From what I've read before seems to be a somewhat common issue. Thanks for the suggestions.

Can we delete the Defaults folder to not get any masked characters? (NVM I found an old answer that the Defaults folder is required)

Can we delete unnecessary characters from our contact list?
